Plane Encyclopedia is an all volunteer site run for, and by, those with an interest in aviation. We are always on the look out for writers, illustrators, and proofreaders to contribute to our site. We can be reached on our public discord server to answer any questions, and for suggestions on how to approach writing, or illustrating, an article.
Our writing criteria is largely open ended, but to be considered for publication an article must be at least 1500 words in length and give a detailed history on the development and use of the aircraft of your choosing. We are not accepting articles on fictional aircraft, though hoaxes with a historical basis are acceptable. Sources should be listed at the end of the article. After publication, the article remains yours and can be modified or removed from the site as you wish. Your article can also be monetized by making a video script for it, or allowing another writer to make one for you. Please contact one of our admins for current rates.
Any interested illustrators should be prepared to demonstrate examples of their work, and if acceptable, they should inquire which articles are in need of an illustration. Contact one of our admins for our current rates.
You can contact us through our public discord server by messaging one of administrators. We use this application as our primary means of organizing work for our site.
